Ascension Lutheran Church offers an introductory course in Conversational Spanish for adults. The first class began on June 26th 2018. Thanks to the generosity of the ELCA Southeastern Synod’s Morton Fund, we have been able to offer scholarships covering the $100 cost of the course to every student who requested one!
The Spanish class is on hiatus due to COVID! We hope to return in The Fall.
Our instructor, Ms Kathy Behling holds an MA in Spanish from West Georgia University. She is a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hixson, TN and is currently a professor of Spanish at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Previously she has taught at Chattanooga State Community College and Ooltewah High School.
